August 22, 2012

Tom Morrison, a postdoc in Matt Kauffman’s lab, was named the 2012 recipient of the Excellence in Wildlife Conservation Award, given annually by the Wildlife Division of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD). The Award is designed to recognize government and nongovernment agencies and individuals for exceptional efforts in conservation of Wyoming wildlife and wildlife habitats. Over the last year and a half, Morrison has worked closely with WY Game and Fish collaborators to develop and modify population models and a user guide for elk, deer and antelope used for season-setting and population estimation.
